Saint Nia’s programs are designed to meet the educational and social support needs of the hardest-to-serve youth populations. The board members of Saint Nia Foundation are professionals who have years of experience working with youth and are consequently able to relate to the environment and issues that shape young people lives.
Saint Nia is committed to ensuring that student participants learn skills such as budgeting and financial planning and the importance of goal setting and finding a career versus just getting a job. During St. Nia’s financial summits and other workshops, board members, community partners, and local entrepreneurs work hard to:
Provide an authentic, culturally sensitive curriculum for all students
Introduce new learning opportunities for students in grades 8-12
Ensure all kids have the support of a tutor and/or mentor
Improve parent-child relationships by encouraging family participation in our workshops.
